Target Audience

Healthcare professionals at all stages and levels, especially those working in emergency areas or as resuscitation team members.

This course builds on the basics of BLS, adding more diagnostic and management skills such as ABCDE approach to a deteriorating patient, airway management, ECG recognition, safe defibrillation, and team leadership in resuscitation.

This course is also the stepping stone to the ERC Advanced Life Support (ALS) course.

Meet Requirements

Proceed with this registration only if you have already completed and obtained certification in the ERC BLS or CPR Certificate Course. If you are not yet certified in BLS or have not completed a CPR Certificate Course, please register for and successfully complete the ERC BLS or CPR Certificate Course before proceeding with this registration.

Access Pre-Course Material

Access the ALS course manual and study material online via the ResusLanka LMS.

Complete Pre-Course MCQ

You must complete the mandatory pre-course MCQ before attending the face-to-face session.

Finish Online Modules

It is recommended to finish all online learning modules at least 3 days before the course.

Attend Pre-Course Zoom Session

A mandatory 1-hour Zoom session will be held 1-2 weeks before the in-person course.

Attend the 1-Day Face-to-Face Course

This intensive 1-day course features small-group (1:3 instructor ratio) practical skill stations and scenario-based simulations.

Assessment & Certification

You will be assessed continuously and in a final team leader scenario. Successful candidates receive a 4-year valid ALS certificate. Those who do not achieve ALS standards may be given an ILS at the discretion of the faculty.

The COAISL ALS Provider Course is a 1-day intensive course recognized by PGIM (Postgraduate Institute of Medicine) and the Ministry of Health, Sri Lanka. It builds on Basic Life Support skills and introduces advanced diagnostic and management techniques.

  • Alternative Certification: Those who do not achieve ALS standards may be given an ILS certificate at the discretion of the faculty
