The BLS course is the first level of care for someone in cardiac arrest. BLS is the foundation of all resuscitation training. Competence in BLS is required before moving on to advanced ERC courses (ILS, ALS). Candidates will learn CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) and the safe use of an AED (Automated External Defibrillator). Healthcare professionals will be able to practice Ambu ventilation, LMA insertion depending on the group dynamics.

Create a free ERC guest account. Ensure your First Name, Middle Name, Surname, and Email are entered correctly for your certificate.
You will be added to the CoSy on the first available date from your choice, as mentioned in the online BLS application form. You will receive an email from ERC CoSy with the details.
A coach (ERC Instructor) will be assigned to you, who will guide you during the precourse period.
Attend the hands-on session with a 1:6 instructor ratio.
You are assessed continuously on chest compressions, mouth to mouth ventilation, and safe use of AED. You can download a 3-year valid ERC BLS soft-copy certificate via the CoSy platform.

BLS is fundamental to all cardiopulmonary resuscitation. Competence in Basic Life Support is a prerequisite for enrolment for all advanced-level training provided by the European Resuscitation Council.
Basic life support (BLS) and, when possible, use of an automated external defibrillator (AED) is the first level of care for a person in cardiac arrest. During European Resuscitation Council (ERC) BLS/AED Provider courses, certified instructors will guide and support you in the learning process.
The face-to-face teaching is mainly delivered in small groups with hands-on practical skill stations.
